WEALMOOR LAUNCHES ‘LOVE ME TENDER’ FRUIT AND VEG BOXES FOR HOME DELIVERY

08/04/2020

Wealmoor, the UK based grower, packer and distributor of a number of high-quality, responsibly sourced fresh fruit and vegetable brands is delighted to announce a contactless home delivery service for customers aimed at minimising the spread of Coronavirus and helping people keep healthy with easy access to their 5-A Day!

The fruit and vegetable gurus have devised a great range of boxes under the Love Me Tender brand, suitable for all budgets, designed to boost mood and immune systems in the battle against Covid-19 infection.  Customers will be able to shop and pay for their box online, then a fleet of vans will deliver the delicious produce straight to the doors of neighbouring areas including Harrow, Rickmansworth, Pinner and Chalfont.  Customers and community groups will also be able to collect their veg boxes, all in a totally contactless transaction.

The purpose-built website www.explorelovemetender.co.uk is designed to make fresh produce purchasing completely hassle-free, with a 72-hour turnaround assured on all orders.

The second-generation family run by the Malde family operates from two sites, one here in London, Greenford and the other at their Stratford upon Avon site. The business is a significant employer in the areas and the business prides itself on being at the heart of the community here and at its many growing locations in the UK and worldwide. Today, husband and wife team Avnish and Leena Malde, who head-up the business have taken the decision to diversify into the home delivery market as the nation is now in lockdown and the pressure is on for people to stay protected, healthy and well.

The Love Me Tender range of home delivery boxes will contain vibrant assorted fruit and vegetable boxes available in a medium or large size, or a 1kg box of new season English Asparagus grown at its farms in Suffolk and the Heart of England. There is also a delectable tropical fruit box for those looking for a taste of sunnier climes at this difficult time. Eating great quality produce not only boosts overall health and maintains strength but helps to cheer people up and boost their immune system.

Wealmoor has an in-house development chef, Enzo Di Marino who will be producing a range of recipe cards and cook-along videos to inspire menus for veg box customers.

He said

“This is a really clever idea, perfect for people to get all they need for the week whilst stuck indoors.  I am really looking forward to sharing my recipes and showing Love Me Tender Veg Box customers how best to use the produce for tasty, nutritional meals.”
