Crispy Green Beans

300g Green Beans
200g Plain Flour (for the batter)
400g Soya Milk
2 Tbsp Zaatar (optional)
Sea Salt to taste
Breadcrumbs (ideally Panko if available)
Extra Flour for coating
500ml Vegetable or Sunflower Oil
Wash and trim the green beans and cook them in salted boiling water for 3 minutes, drain and transfer to a bowl of ice and water to prevent discoloring.
Once cool, drain again, dry with a kitchen towel and set aside.
Whisk the batter flour, water and zaatar in a bowl until smooth.
Coat in the beans in the extra flour, then in batter and then in breadcrumb. Repeat the steps twice.
Heat the oil on a medium high heat in a large saucepan and cook the beans until golden brown.
Drain and pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve with a lemon wedge and your favourite dips.
